This is a 12-week course run by Stuart Mackenzie, who is a former leader of Lyric Hammersmith’s Acting Up and Comedy Club. He has extensive experience of directing and teaching and we are privileged to have him working with us. During the course the young people will: learn how to devise, script and co-produce short films scout locations design costumes The course will culminate in the young people producing their own films and these will be screened in the summer showcase.

Create and Make: Earthquake Engineering Earthquakes are some of the most powerful forces on the planet, so how do we build in places where we get lots of earthquakes without everything falling over? Discover the techniques we use to make buildings earthquake proof! You’ll be working to make your own structures, then testing on our earthquake shaking table to see if yours can stand up to an Earthquake. This is workshop allows you to explore engineering in a creative way. After the workshop you can take home more materials to add to your structure. Bring siblings for free

NO CONCESSION. please book separately. Gym session at The Westway Fitness Centre with a qualified instructor. It is a group for a maximum of 10 young people aged 11 plus. The first time your young person attends they will be shown how to use the equipment safely. Fixed machines and Cardiovascular Machines only. James (instructor) will be there to motivate them and get them using their bodies to their full potential which will create a great muscle memory to go into adulthood with and will show them how to use everything safely and efficiently for the body. You can collect from Westway Fitness Centre at 3pm or at 245 Hammersmith Road at 330pm  You need to tell us when you drop off. There is a great cafe on site to use, wifi access, sofa area, even exercise yourself :) if you want to wait.

Our Science Club is interactive, hands-on, inquiry based and FUN! It will strengthen what students are already learning with hands-on science experiences that deepen their education. Practicals include owl pellets, dissecting a bean, testing for starch in a plant and more biology based explorations.

Its purpose is to have fun, learn the sport and make friends whilst being active. 9 years plus As more young people join in these sessions, we will be encouraging teams to compete against schools. Meditation and Journaling for parents and young people as a community group. Join if you are new to meditation and want to learn how to or if you would like to take part in a community circle please come along. organised and lead by Jacqui O'Connell - We welcome people who practice meditation regularly to lead.

No concessions Computer Skills - This session will cover general learning needed for our modern world including spreadsheets / word / power point and more.

An hour long session all about galaxies. In the session we will find out about different galaxy types, become citizen scientists using Galaxyzoo on the zooniverse platform, learn about the importance of our contribution to research scientists and look at the history of galactic discovery.   Kathryn O'Brien Skerry works for Oxford University Physics department who develop citizen science in school programming.
