For example word/excel/powerpoint....... we will also use this time to log in with young people to interact with First News Online and also have the hard copy available to read. If you have a computer skill like the ones mentioned above or other and have time to come in and show our YP please get in touch. First News login is a very engaging way for young people to learn what is happening in our world. They can also get competitive and earn points and enter competitions. They have access to multiply questions to answer on a topic they read about. YP will need a laptop or Ipad for this session. We do have a few screens available to use. Computer skills 1-2pm Working on designing a basic website using Yolika.co.uk First News 2-3pm  logins given to also access at home , working off hardcopy too.

This is a 12-week course run by Stuart Mackenzie, who is a former leader of Lyric Hammersmith’s Acting Up and Comedy Club. He has extensive experience of directing and teaching and we are privileged to have him working with us. During the course the young people will: learn how to devise, script and co-produce short films scout locations design costumes The course will culminate in the young people producing their own films and these will be screened in the summer showcase.

This session is run by Romario who has a vast experience with young people in his field. For parents and young people. Full Moon is on 18th March. Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of six series or levels, with a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa, the flowing movements between positions, with a focus on energy and breath. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.

We have created a space to replicate a cafe. Here we will work on languages using our Young Peoples knowledge on language. Using cards to work on basic words to know when you visit another country. We will have teachers along the way. When you step into the cafe space you HAVE to use the language set for the day. As weeks go on we will visit particular restaurants when we have a good knowledge of their language for lunch. Are you up for the challenge?

Environmental workshops will be delivered by Emily Tulloh who works for Hammersmith & Fulham. We will be connecting with many local organisations including: The Nourish Hub - Today we will be visiting the nourish hub for lunch. Whilst there we will be interviewing the workers to find out how and why they opened. How they have connected with people who deliver their daily food to cook for people.

NO CONCESSION. please book separately. Gym session at The Westway Fitness Centre with a qualified instructor. It is a group for a maximum of 10 young people aged 11 plus. The first time your young person attends they will be shown how to use the equipment safely. Fixed machines and Cardiovascular Machines only. James (instructor) will be there to motivate them and get them using their bodies to their full potential which will create a great muscle memory to go into adulthood with and will show them how to use everything safely and efficiently for the body. You can collect from Westway Fitness Centre at 3pm or at 245 Hammersmith Road at 330pm  You need to tell us when you drop off. There is a great cafe on site to use, wifi access, sofa area, even exercise yourself :) if you want to wait.

Our Science Club is interactive, hands-on, inquiry based and FUN! It will strengthen what students are already learning with hands-on science experiences that deepen their education. Practicals include owl pellets, dissecting a bean, testing for starch in a plant and more biology based explorations.
