Maths Higher Ability
Jodi It is important for children to learn how to read and construct graphs. Graphs are a representation of information that communicate points in a clear and easy to understand way.. It is important to learn how to read graphs in order to make sense of the world we live in. The higher Maths group will be working with graphs of straight lines. This will include graphs of linear functions including gradient and intercept of linear equations. (No previous knowledge needed) Suitable for ages 12+ or younger adept Mathematics students.
Meditation time for everyone
Jacqui will guide all who attend to take deep breathes, learn how to still the mind and be present with ourselves. Jacqui is trained in Reiki 1 & 2, Angelic Reiki 1 and volunteers regularly at Barnes Spiritual Church. If you have a healing gift you are welcome to take this half hour session - please get in touch.

Computer Skills & First News
245 Hammersmith Road 245 Hammersmith Road, londonSteve & Cilla will deliver this computer skills learning activity for boys and girls aged 10 to 16. Our aim is to ensure everyone has a full understanding of basic computer skills including word, excel and powerpoint through to sending emails, uploading their designs onto the Spiritus website, web design and more. We will also use this time to engage with First News Online, encouraging everyone to take part in the quizzes available through to discussing the topic of the week and more. We will also have a hard of First News copy available to read. Computers are available. They will have to be shared. If a laptop can be brought in from home this would be ideal so they get to know how to work on it.
Money Management 14-16 Years

Cilla offers this interactive course to 14-16 year olds to help them gain an understanding of what banks can offer you, the different types of accounts you can open, what debt really is through to what is insurance and why do we need it, plus lots more. If your boy or girl is younger than 14, but has the maturity to engage, they are welcome to join in.
English Intermediate
Jodi This session will focus on determining word meanings in context, word associations, and inferences. We will also spend some time on writing style and techniques.

Community Chess & Travel Club – Drop in
YOU CAN JOIN IN EVEN IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND ANY SESSIONS DURING THE WEEK. A parent needs to oversee this session due to the Horniman Trip - please let me know if you can. If you are a keen chess player come and teach our young and play with other adults. Chess sets are needed. Are you a regular traveller or want to be? The group will enable us to share our experiences and where/how to travel as well as make journeys happen as a family/individual/group. You can drop in during these hours.
Art. 10-16 years

We aim to guide inner artist to be found by showing various mediums and techniques. Here is a list of what will be taught. We do like to be able to go with the flow which means some activities will go on longer than others. This all depends on the engagement from everyone attending. Activities which will be taught are: Abstract painting Mindfulness mandala painting on canvas bags with fabric markers Painting step by step landscapes and exploring famous artists and styles Mixed media – photography Life drawing Clay and wire sculpture Botanical ink drawings Mosaics Collage mood boards Sustainability and recycling projects Whenever we can we will bring in working artists to talk to you about their journey and give live sessions.
